EDUCATION AND INDEPENDENCE HOPE STARTS HERE
Every parent expects their child to receive an appropriate education to be successful in life. When your child requires a unique education plan, it can be intimidating to navigate the IEP and 504 Accommodation Plans alone - Hope 2 Joy will be that supportive force for you the whole way through.
My name is Carol Woodard, and I have over 20 years of experience advocating on behalf of children with autism and special needs. I began first with my own son's journey through the education system, and became inspired to support other families in my situation.
Our mission is to help the families of special needs children understand their school system's complex processes in order to meet the unique needs of their child. We always work with the same goal for every child: to reach their highest level of independence and educational performance.
Collaborating with special education attorneys, teachers, and parents alike, I will strive to make sure your child's individual needs are addressed.
When Hope 2 Joy Advocacy began during the 2014/15 school year, my desire was to help as many families as possible to secure a Free Appropriate Public Education for their loved one. Ten years later, I am excited to say that I have assisted over 500 families in their Special Education journey. We focus on the needs of the student and write specific goals in order to make meaningful progress in the most appropriate setting.
To help families of Special Needs Children navigate the school system to meet the unique needs of their child.
Hello, thank you for contacting me! I appreciate your trust. I have been helping families for years and I have no plans on completely stopping at this time. That being said, my role is primarily going to be consultative.
If I believe I can help and my schedule allows, I will review your records and discuss them with you and provide strategies for your meeting at my hourly rate. In the event I cannot assist, I will refer you to another advocate.
If there is a clear violation of your student’s right to A Free Appropriate Public Education, I will refer you to Special Education Attorney’s who will work with you at no cost to you.
